The movie Avatar is a triumph.  I highly recommend it.  It is a balance of good story telling and cinematic experience.  There is a very strong “green” agenda, yet it seems unpolitical in its message.  Avatar is well written, well directed , and flawlessly performed.  I am not  a fan of 3D movies because they tend to be gimmicky; the shots usually draw too much attention to themselves.  AVATAR avoided this mistake by drawing you in slowly.  The visuals are incredibly stunning that it takes a while to adjust to what you are watching. Cameron focuses on the story and not the effects.  Not since the first Star Wars did I have a fresh new cinematic experience.  An instant hit, AVATAR, is going to be a sure Oscar contender.
