Guy Camara
I was born in Burundi, Africa to Rwandan parents on April 14, 1964. We immigrated to the United States when I was 8 years old. I graduated with honors from The High School of Art and Design majoring in Motion Picture Production. During this time I became a Christian and was very involved in a youth group. I graduated from the State University of New York - Purchase where I received my bachelor of Fine Arts in Film. In 1987, I married Leslie Lance.
In 1992 I co-produced Strength with James Spione, a public service announcement on race relations, directed by John G. Young. In 1993, with John G. Young, I co-produced Garden starring Matt Malloy and Melissa Leo and directed by James Spione. In 1994 I began a freelancing career in Indianapolis. In 1995 I wrote and directed a movie called Time Won't Fly. In 1996 I wrote, co-produced, and directed Cab Woman. In 1997 I was asked to work on In The Company of Men. I served as Sound Mixer. Mark Archer, who produced In the Company of Men, invited me to work on his directorial debut entitled American Reel (Starring David Carradine and Mariel Hemmingway) as 1st Assistant Director.
Between these projects, I produced commercials, corporate videos and short films. I formed a production company called Studio Veritas, Inc. Studio Veritas Inc. has a film division called Kingdom Pictures Inc.
